The Black Dog at Chilmark is currently going through a renaissance and is attracting visitors from afar. Since July this year the new owners Andrew and Beverley Hay have worked hard to find the right ingredient to offer a warm and friendly welcome with a vast choice of fine wine and real ales. Added to this, there is now a new mouth watering menu, created with fresh and local ingredients whenever possible. Their new head chef Peter certainly seems to have the touch, the amount of compliments being stowed upon him is impressive. The Black Dog picture with shadow The pub itself dates back several hundreds of years and sits well in this beautiful village which dates back to the stone age and is mentioned in the doomsday book.

Facilities in the pub now include a large function room which can cater for one off engagements and will soon host an a la carte restaurant for evenings and weekends, which will be supported by an ongoing mouth watering menu in the bar area.

With this warm welcome and exciting fayre, and a large beautiful garden to relax, the Black Dog at Chilmark is one not to miss
